Clustrix, the provider of the first scale-out database designed to meet the elastic scaling requirements of high-volume online transactions needed by e-commerce and other Web applications, announced its certification under theĀ CenturyLink Cloud Marketplace Provider Program. ClustrixDB, the leading distributed relational database, is now available to any customer building or expanding its online applications using the CenturyLink Cloud platform.
ClustrixDB was built from the ground up to scale out easily in both cloud environments and the datacenter. While applications have long enjoyed the flexibility to scale with the simple addition of nodes, it has not been possible to easily scale the relational database. ClustrixDB addresses that need. It is a shared-nothing clustered scale-out MySQL-compatible relational database designed for simple, easy scaling without sharding or use of master/slave configurations. A base configuration is a three-node ClustrixDB cluster. ClustrixDB scales both writes and reads with the addition of each additional node. It provides high availability and is easily administered by a MySQL DBA. For seasonal businesses such as e-commerce, ClustrixDB uniquely offers the flexibility to increase and decrease capacity with a few clicks.
“ClustrixDB provides CenturyLink Cloud Marketplace customers the scale-out relational database they need for their OLTP-heavy applications,” saidĀ Mike Azevedo, Clustrix CEO. “As a Blueprint offering, ClustrixDB can be deployed in just a few clicks anywhere in a CenturyLink managed hosting or cloud environment.”
