In this article by John Hackston, a chartered psychologist, and head of thought leadership at our client The Myers-Briggs Company, he discusses how individuals can achieve equity within an organization through their understanding of conflict. In the article he references a study issued by The Myers-Briggs Company which found that although women handle conflict more effectively, they tend to underestimate their abilities which puts them at a disadvantage in the workplace. Once they are aware of their conflict style, it’s easier to learn to use a different approach when appropriate i.e., during pay negotiations.
